Co-op Connections pharmacy benefit has saved $340,435.40

The pharmacy discount feature of the CO-OP CONNECTIONS® PROGRAM, as of June 30, 2011, has saved members of Horry Electric Cooperative who use the benefit a total of $340,435.40. The program was launched and first introduced to members in May of 2009.

In 2010, Horry Electric members using the card saved a total of $170,763.35 and year-to-date savings for 2011 are $86,425.40.

By using the Co-op Connections Card, members are able to receive a 10% to 85% discount on prescription drugs at over 60,000 national and regional pharmacy chain stores – including CVS, Walgreens, Wal-Mart, Target and many more.

Lost your card?  No worries, just print a new one!  Just log on to horryelectric.com, find the Co-op Connections Card icon at the top and click on the words ‘Start Saving’.  When the page loads, find and select ‘Pharmacy Discount’ on the left. You’ll be transferred to a page where you can type in your name, select Horry Electric Cooperative and then print a paper card that participating businesses and pharmacies will accept.
